(In-spirit-creation) A creative act or idea that emanates from the world of spirit into the mind of man. All inspiration has its source in higher realms.
When an artist is inspired, he then responds to a vibration which is not the one to which he responds normally. In that state, he is the recipient of a power which enables him to translate visions on to the canvas, but when the inspiration departs he cannot do that.
Inspiration is the most common and least recognized form of mediumship. All of us ultimately seek to expand our consciousness by being instruments of higher powers. We can do this by opening further to receive divine inspiration.
If all of the greatest inspirational works of this world, including art, music, literature, etc., and all the deepest and greatest beauties of nature were combined into one whole object it would be a very pale reflection of life in the higher realms.
