A term that implies that God as a deity is female in gender. As the Collective Spirit (or God) is neither a deity, or of any gender, the term is either symbolic or incorrectly used. Gender is only formed as an expression of spirit. The idea of a Goddess was apparently popular in ancient religions. It is re- emerging in the latter part of the twentieth century partly as a contrast to traditional Judaic-Christian dogma and the revival of certain ancient traditions.
Some organizations use the term in much the same way as it was used in Greek mythology. This is the concept of separate deities that rule over distinct areas or aspects. Ultimately, awareness will dawn that such distinctions of male and female are essentially limited to certain realms of existence.
