The runes are symbolic characters with Magical significance used originally by Nordic and Teutonic tribes for divination as well as creative and destructive power. Although some people use rune magic for altruistic purposes, there are a few using this ritualistic practice to tap psychic energy from the lower (darker) realms of the Astral Plane.
The characters are often painted on stones, tiles or cards, which can be used for answers, questions or predictions. The Runes are sometimes referred to as an alphabet, which is incorrect as the characters were never used for literary purposes.
